Atlanta's Haunted History Tour

Atlanta’s Haunted History Tour

Follow your guide - the grave keeper, southern belle or solider - on a journey of Atlanta’s darker history.
On this 2 ½ tour you will hear tales of spirits, hauntings, mysteries, murders, suicide, war, fire, monsters and other stories of the city you would never hear on an average tour.
Your tour starts at the Visitor’s Center located at Underground Atlanta. From there you board the tour trolley and begin your journey into Atlanta’s night.
You will ride through downtown to your first stop, Oakland Cemetery.
Oakland Cemetery is the final resting place of many of Atlanta's settlers, builders, and noted citizens like Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell, and Maynard Jackson. It is also home to over 7,000 Atlanta’s Confederate Dead.
You will learn of 19th century burial customs as well as tales of the residents who call Oakland home.
You will reboard your trolley and continue your tour through downtown.
Your last stop is Underground Atlanta. Your tour will take you beneath the streets of Atlanta and the location of Atlanta’s founding. Under the streets you will hear tales of some of its most interesting characters.
A portion of your ticket cost is donated to Oakland Cemetery for the Historic Oakland Foundation. This will contribute to the preservation and education of one of Atlanta’s most treasured historic locations.
