New Trolley Arrives

It is official. Our new WHITE trolley has arrived. We recently upgraded one of our trolleys. It has been furnished with new floors, sound system and painted white.

The most popular requested color for trolleys has been white. This is due to the many wedding events we get.

We have teamed up with several vendors including florists and sign makers to help customize a trolley for your event or wedding.
We can add signage on the trolley that includes company logos, sponsorship information, and 'Just Married" and "Happy Birthday" signs. Signs can be customized with names, dates or special messages

Hello to All

We hope everyone is having a great summer so far. It seems as if summer arrived earlier than usual. We at Atlanta Trolley Tour Line have been very busy. Once again June saw a record number of riders. Our new sales location at the National Museum of Patriotism is doing very well. We have a sales person posted at the Museum Friday - Monday and guests looking for a tour can purchase tickets and board the trolley at this location. We now have 3 locations where guests can purchase tickets.

We will be open and operating on July 4th.

Look at the bottom of this newsletter for a special offer for those of you who wish to ride our tours on the 4th of July.

We are already gearing up for the Fall and holiday season.

We expect a large increase in bookings for the Haunted History Tour this fall. If you want to take a tour or would like to book a group we suggest you do this ASAP to ensure we can accommodate you.

Plans for December is to have a Holiday Trolley Ride around the downtown area. Bring your friends, family and all the kids for a ride with Santa and Mrs.Claus.

We are in the process of working with several dining locations to bring a great experience for the Valentine season. At this time we know it will include lots of chocolate. Keep checking the newsletters for more updates on this tour.

Atlanta's Haunted History Tour

Atlanta's Haunted History Tour takes you on a journey into the night and into the darker side of Atlanta. On this 2½ hour tour you will hear tales of spirits, hauntings, mysteries, murders, suicide, war, fire, monsters and other stories of the city you would never hear on an average tour.

Your tour starts at the Visitors Center located at Underground Atlanta. You will ride through downtown Atlanta to your first stop, Oakland Cemetery, one of Atlanta's most treasured historical sites. A portion of your ticket cost is donated to the Historic Oakland Foundation, so you experience the thrills, excitement and intrigue of Atlanta's darker side and contribute to the preservation and education of this treasured historical site at the same time. You will learn of 19th century burial customs as well as tales of the residents who call Oakland home.Atlanta's Oakland Cemetery began in 1850 as a six-acre cemetery. It is a showplace of sculpture and architecture, and a botanical preserve with ancient oaks and magnolias. Here in this peaceful place the full scope of the city's rich and fascinating history unfolds before you. On your visit you will see the graves of 6,900 Confederates, as well as 3,000 unknowns. Some of Atlanta's most famous citizens, like Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell, famous for Gone with the Wind, and Maynard Jackson, Atlanta's first African American mayor, are also buried here.

From there you re-board the Tour Trolley and begin your journey back to tour Underground Atlanta. Under the streets you will hear tales of some of its most interesting characters.Underground Atlanta was given birth to in the 1920's, after concrete "viaducts" were constructed to elevate the street system one level, to permit a better flow of traffic. Merchants moved their operations to the second floor, leaving the old fronts for storage and service. Today, the Underground offers a complete family experience, with retail shops, specialty and gift shops, fast food, unique features and entertainment, special events and fine restaurants.
